Jean-Pierre Clamadieu
Chairman of the Board of Directors - ENGIE

Jean-Pierre Clamadieu is a graduate of the École nationale supérieure des mines de Paris and a Corps des Mines engineer. He began his career in the French public administration, notably at the Ministry of Industry and as technical advisor to the Minister of Labour.

In 1993, he joined the Rhône-Poulenc Group, where he held several senior management positions. He became Chief Executive Officer of Rhodia in 2003, and then Chairman and CEO in 2008. Following the merger between Rhodia and Solvay, he was appointed in May 2012 as Chairman of the Executive Committee and CEO of Solvay, a position he held until 2019.

On May 18, 2018, he became Director and Chairman of the Board of ENGIE, a mandate renewed on April 21, 2022. He was also appointed on October 8, 2020 as Chairman of the Board of Directors at the ENGIE Foundation, a role renewed in 2025.
